Job Summary
The main purpose of this position is to render food preparation/serving and cleaning services at the serving areas within the Durban Cash Centre
Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
· Organise self to ensure that work allocated is completed within set time and defined standards.
· Perform routine and well-defined tasks under direct supervision (including ordering of required ingredients, lunch club food preparation, serving food to lunch club members, till point, setting up and preparing meeting rooms/pause areas, cleaning and other scullery duties).
· Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in own work areas.
· Apply basic rules of courtesy when in contact with other employees and visitors to the cash centre, always displaying a service orientation.
· Engage with own team members in a manner that reflects a sound and effective working relationship.
· Proactively understand the impact of own environment output in relation to a wider service delivery context and proposition.
· Willingly and enthusiastically make useful and meaningful changes to manner in which he/she works.
Qualifications And Experience
Job Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
· a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification;
· a certificate in food preparation would be an added advantage; and
· one year experience in the hospitality environment, specifically in the area of cleaning and serving.
