Annual salary of R 1 970 253 per annum. The appointed candidate will also be eligible for Annual Service Bonus, Pension, Medical Aid, Home Owner’s Allowance and Motor Car Allowance, as well as the Secretary’s Allowance.


  • Grade 12 Certificate coupled with a minimum NQF level 8 (Honours) Qualification as recognised by SAQA in Administration or related
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years’ managerial experience of which at least 10 years’ should be at a senior managerial role, managing multiple functions
  • A valid driving license
  • No criminal record.

  • Full understanding and knowledge of all the Acts that relate to the running of the Parliament/Legislature and proven track record of understanding the political environment.

  • The successful candidate as the NWPL Accounting Officer will be responsible for the overall management of the Administrative Function of the Legislature
  • Ensuring effective Financial Management of the Legislature through compliance with provisions and prescripts contained in the FMPPLA, Treasury Regulations and Directives
  • Provide strategic advice and Offer administrative support to the NWPL Executive Authority (Honourable Speaker) in the attainment of the NWPL Constitutional mandate
  • Oversee the provision of support in the business of the Legislature (Legislature Operations) including MPLs
  • Provide administrative support relating to the House sittings and decision making of the committees of the Legislature
  • Advising on the implementation of Legislation and government policies
  • Management of the Precinct in line with the requirements of the National Key Point
  • Strengthen Cooperative Governance within the Legislative Sector. 


Appointment will be subject to the signing of five-year employment contract and performance agreement with the Legislature, Pre-employment screening, Qualification Verifications and Security Vetting.
